- WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN A PHOTO? -
I have done pet portraits for over 5 years and know sometimes it’s really difficult to get a good reference photo. Pets don’t always cooperate or maybe only older photos are available. I get it! Please don’t let a less- than- stellar reference photo keep you from reaching out about a portrait. It may be that a mini portrait or even an ornament is the best representation of available photos. I’m happy to work with most images in order to help create a keep sake of your most beloved family member. Listed below are a few tips on choosing the best photo and I am always happy to help!
Whether it’s an old photo or you are taking a new one:
* In-focus
* Close-up/portrait
* Detail in the eyes and nose
* Soft/muted natural light is best if you have it/can get it. Preferably not a flash or the harsh, bright, direct sunlight.
* Remember: the better the photo, the better the finished drawing!
- WHAT’S THE PROCESS FOR BOOKING A PORTRAIT ? -
*First, check out the price pages for the wood panels and paper portraits. Decide which type and size will best fit the location where it will be displayed, then email me using the inquire tab with the reference photos. Once you and I choose the best photo, I will send an invoice for the deposit. Payment in full is always welcome, but I only ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance + shipping will be due once the art work is finished/before it’s shipped.
It really is that easy to have a piece of custom art work!
- WHAT IS THE WAIT TIME ? -
*Turnaround time can be anywhere from 2-6 weeks after I begin. I will give an estimated start-date at the time of booking.
*Progress photos will be sent during the drawing process.
